Euro 4M Now Available at PETRONAS Stations

The PETRONAS Primax 95 with Pro-Drive has been upgraded to Euro 4M standard, ahead of its gazetted date in January 2020. The quality upgrade is a mandatory requirement by the Government to reduce carbon emissions and improve air quality.

The Euro 4M standard contains just 50 parts per million (ppm) sulphur, which is10 times less than Euro 2M standard for RON 95 petrol. Additionally, benzene content is reduced by 30% to 3.5% while vapour pressure is reduced by 7% to 65kPa.

This means the fuel is cleaner for both the environment and engine.

In 2018, we had carried out a blind test with over 200 popular locally and internationally made vehicles, comparing it against our previous PETRONAS Primax 95 and other samples in the market.

The results were very encouraging, with over 70% of the participants indicated that the new fuel performed better than their current fuel in terms of smoothness, responsiveness and efficiency.
